TIMES SITUBONDO, SURABAYA – Several students of FKp Unair Surabaya invented a non chemical sprue treatment and introduce it in Advenced Innovation Global Competition (AIGC) of Singapore. They managed to bring home the gold medal on this event for their hard work.

The competition which was held for 3 day (November 15-17 2019) took place in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.

The team which consists of Timotius Dwi, Desti Nayunda, Annisa Fitri Purnamasari, Desi Syahfitri, and Alfiana Nur Halimah brought their product prototype which they extracted from the Bidens Pilosa as a non chemical sprue treatment a.k.a stomatitis.

Biden pilosa is commonly known by the local community as weed. But some people will use this weed as a herbal plant. "Not much people know about the advantage of this weed," Annisa said.

Still according to her, this weed usually grows in an open areas where dense stands reduce access to roads, trails, and recreational areas, and can damage pavements and walls.

For this competition, the team must to arrange an abstract to introduce their product knowledge. After being selected, they were ask to give the full paper about this non chemical sprue treatment. And this makes these students of FKp Unair Surabaya put the gold medal of Advenced Innovation Global Competition (AIGC) of Singapore to their bag.
